4 June 2025
Classic Movie Night will present to our movie lovers, another entry in our “Directed by…” film series during the month of June.
We start our June Jubilee on Wednesday, June 4 with the first of famed director Steven Spielberg’s two features that we will present to you (the other will be a hilarious patriotic fantasy on Wednesday, July 2). This critically-acclaimed film, based on a story by George Lucas (Star Wars) and set in 1936, stars Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, a globetrotting archaeologist vying with Nazi German forces to recover the long-lost Ark of the Covenant, which is said to make an army invincible. Jones races to stop a cunning rival archaeologist from guiding the Nazis to the Ark and its immense power. Action-packed scenes written with heavy touches of humor roar at the audiences at top speed, making this film one of the most successful of its genre of the last century of movie making. It went on to spawn two additional features starring Harrison. Brace yourselves for a shocking ending. Indeed!
Our Snack Bar and Bookstore will open up at 6:15 pm, with Classic Cartoons screening until 7:15 movie time.
admission is, as always, a much appreciated $3 donation…if you feel like it. (Yodel.today/FaceBook).
